Creating a concept for hotel room of the future
I was the Project Lead and together with a team of four developed a hotel room concept of tomorrow for Hotel Haaga Central Park. We utilised multiple different tools and methods, conducted extensive research, identified new customer segments, developed multiple prototypes and tested them with customers. Our concept creates value for the hotel, increases customer satisfaction and well-being, and offers innovative new products, services and experiences.

Creating a gamified experience for a B2B event
Together with a team of six I designed a gamified experience for the More Than Training Company's Time Well Spent event whose main speaker was the pioneer of Experience Economy, B. Joseph Pine II. As a Project Lead I focused on enabling the team to do their best, utilizing each of their unique strengths, and ensuring everyone was heard and got to participate. I also did the visual execution for our experience.

Improving the brand awareness
for a Dutch high-tech manufacturing company
I created a business solution stimulating innovation and enhancing brand awareness for Brainport Industries Campus. I did research, observing and context analysis. I interviewed people at the campus to identify problem areas, identified key stakeholders, did benchmarking, created a prototype and tested it. I delivered an advisory memo with the process, insights and concept details.

Website recreation for a wellness entrepreneur
I helped an entrepreneur with their website recreation, branding, and marketing. We defined their brand mission, vision, values, and value proposition. We defined their brand style, colors, typography, and visuals. I created a paper wireframe, a Figma prototype, and finally built the whole website on Wix. I helped them update and improve all the text content. I provided the customer with an asset library, and instructed them about Wix, analytics and marketing.

Examples of projects I have done
Enhancing upper education through design and gamification
I created an educational room escape concept for a Finnish university, to be built and actively used as a teaching method at the university. I used the escapED framework for creating educational escape rooms and interactive games for higher education, and Game Design Template. I delivered a concept book with target group and participant profiles, full storyline, puzzles, room design with props and prototype, game rules, instructions for the participants, game requirements including pre-game and post-game step up, and reflective questions to know was the objective of the educational aspect reached.
Innovative circular economy concept for a zero waste hotel
In a team of four I created an innovative business concept for a Dutch zero-waste hotel, to connect people and places, bringing different stakeholders together, using the Service Design process. I conducted a survey on sustainability, circular economy and environmental aspects. I created customer personas, did benchmarking, and created an experience touch points prototype. In the end I delivered an advisory memo including the whole process, insights and concept details.
Bringing creativity and playfulness to a university’s cafeteria
I created a visual guide for a Finnish university, on how to make campus cafeteria eatery more creative and playful place for the student and staff. Universities are places of learning and their environments should stimulate the mind. I presented multiple innovative ideas on how to improve the play and playfulness in the campus, and how to change them into creative environments, including a floorplan to visualize the insights.
Enhancing the brand awareness of a boutique hotel
I created a marketing advisory memo for a Dutch boutique hotel to help their hotel become the gathering place of the area. I focused on how different experiences and events can create a whole new source of revenue and strengthen the community, and how to utilize influencer and Instagram marketing to enhance the brand awareness. I conducted extensive research on the topic to base my advice on and created a prototype to visualize my advice.
Transformative experience concept for tourism
I designed a transformative experience concept for a Finnish tourism industry provider, that stimulates transformation in an individual during their experience. I created a concept handbook with the product details, storyworld, transformative elements, pre-during-post experience details and a timeline, marketing with personas and transmedia storytelling, and an advert poster for the product.
Children's meta maze concept for an experience center
In a team of four I created an immersive meta maze concept for children, using four famous brands and characters. We did benchmarking and explained the customer journey. We defined in detail the pre-experience including business plan, feasibility and marketing, experience including detailed floor plans, and post-experience including after-marketing and memorabilia. We also described the near future development needs. Each of us designed one maze room based on a character, including the room requirements, clues and tasks, story and characters, as well as the visitor journey. My responsibility was also the marketing section.
Logo design and website creation for an entrepreneur
I designed a logo with Figma and a simple one-page landing page website with Wix for a building technology entrepreneur. I worked in close cooperation with the customer, helping them define the colors, typography, style and logo for their company. I did four rounds of sketches for the logo, to create the perfect one. The logo had to be versatile to be used digitally on websites, and printed in clothes and vehicles, and was done in many different versions and file types to fit all the needs. For the website text content I utilized ChatGPT. I asked three different versions based on materials given by customer, and then combined them into my own.
Additionally, I have helped multiple different entrepreneurs to clarify and improve their business, customer experience and understanding using Service Design tools and methods. I have also helped them to conceptualize their services, and improve the content and user experience of their websites.
